Marin County, California (October 15, 2002) - Sonic Solutions (NASDAQ: SNIC) today announced the release of Sonic CinePlayer 1.5, the world's first OpenDVD^®-compliant DVD software player. The newest member of Sonic's complete line of DVD creation and playback applications, Sonic CinePlayer 1.5 delivers exceptionally-high-quality DVD video and audio playback while incorporating support for OpenDVD, enabling OpenDVD-compliant DVDs to be opened, edited and re-burned using OpenDVD applications.
