FUJITSU Chooses Sonic DVDit!® for DVD Recording on PCs

DVDit! Powers Home DVD Recording on FUJITSU's FMV DESKPOWER PC (2001 Winter, 2002 Spring Models)

Marin County, California (January 30, 2002) - Sonic Solutions [NASDAQ: SNIC], the leading manufacturer of DVD creation solutions, and FUJITSU LIMITED, a leading provider of Internet-focused information technology solutions for the global marketplace, today announced that Sonic DVDit! LE is being bundled with FUJITSU's FMV DESKPOWER line of personal computers sold in Japan. By combining Sonic's award-winning DVD authoring technology with FUJITSU's high-power FMV DESKPOWER PC, video enthusiasts and consumers have an all-in-one solution for creating interactive content on DVD.

The FUJITSU/Sonic bundle takes advantage of the advanced processing power of the FMV DESKPOWER PC to quickly convert video and audio into the formats required for DVD. Home PC users and video enthusiasts will appreciate the ability to quickly and easily record and edit video as well as add menus and additional content to their DVD projects. With its integrated DVD-RAM/R drive, FMV DESKPOWER PC users have the flexibility of burning their final DVD masterpiece to either DVD-RAM or DVD-R for set-top playback on their DVD player.

Starting at 239,800 Yen ($1,850 US), FUJITSU's FMV DESKPOWER PC is currently available in Japan.
