Sony Electronics Adds Sonic AuthorScript to Power New Home Video Recording Applications

Marin County, California (February 19, 2002) – Sonic Solutions (NASDAQ: SNIC) today announced that computer home electronics leader Sony Corporation has licensed Sonic’s AuthorScript® DVD publishing technology for integration into models of its Vaio desktop computers.

By incorporating AuthorScript, Sony Electronics is able to provide Vaio users with the ability to record TVcaptured video files onto DVD media.
