Digidesign® Licenses Sonic NoNOISE Technology
Emmy® Award-winning Audio Sound Restoration Software
to Power Digidesign Plug-In Suite for ProTools|HD Users
Las Vegas, Nevada (April 8, 2002) - Sonic Solutions
(NASDAQ: SNIC)
today announced at the National Association of Broadcasters
Convention (NAB) that Digidesign, a Division of Avid Technology,
Inc. (NASDAQ: AVID),
has licensed Sonic's world-renowned NoNOISE sound restoration
technology for integration into the Pro Tools|HD line of digital
audio workstations. By incorporating NoNOISE as a suite of
software plug-ins for Pro Tools|HD, Digidesign is able to
provide thousands of its users with the world's leading solution
for removing unwanted noise from recordings.

preserving the integrity of the original recording.
NoNOISE is also very popular for cleaning up old film soundtracks
