New General Manager Brings Greater Focus to Roxio's Enterprise Software Business

Milpitas, California - (November 7, 2001) - Roxio, Inc. (Nasdaq:ROXI), The Digital Media Company, today announced that Kamal Arafeh has joined the company in the position of General Manager, Enterprise Products.

Arafeh will be responsible for sales of Roxio's Volume Licensing program, which makes it easier for corporate customers to purchase and deploy Easy CD Creator and GoBack across a number of seats in their organizations. As a key part of this role, he will take over responsibility for the company's award-winning system recovery product, GoBack.

"Kamal brings a wealth of experience in the enterprise business segment from his days at McAfee/Network Associates and Broadvision, among other career successes," said Tom Shea, chief operating officer at Roxio. "We believe sales to the enterprise markets are an untapped and substantial opportunity for Roxio. I am thrilled to have Kamal on board."

Having spent four successful years at Network Associates, Arafeh brings a strong track record selling into the enterprise space. He has demonstrated tremendous creativity in building relationships and programs that led to new revenue creation, such as certification programs and revenue sharing programs. His experience in high technology is broad, having had sales leadership roles in software, hardware, and solutions companies, and in large established, ventured backed, and high growth companies. Arafeh was recently a Senior Vice President of Sales at Netcentives.

Arafeh earned a bachelor's degree in management information systems from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island.
