SONIC AND AVID EXPAND COLLABORATION

AVID TO BUNDLE DVDIT! PE AND DVD FUSION LE WITH AVID XPRESS SYSTEMS

- Sonic Solutions (NASDAQ: SNIC) today announced that Avid Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: AVID) has expanded its use of Sonic's DVD authoring technology in its Avid Xpress® product line. Effective immediately, Avid Xpress Deluxe and Avid Xpress Elite products will now include Sonic DVDit! PE for Windows and Sonic DVD Fusion® LE for the Macintosh as a part of Avid's TurboPack promotion. This bundle is in addition to Avid's bundling of Sonic DVDit! Products with Avid Xpress DV 2 software.
