today introduced SonicStudio HD Version 1.6, the latest version of
the world's most popular application for premastering High-Density Audio
content. SonicStudio HD forms the core of Sonic's audio product line for
preparing audio masters for a wide range of applications including DVD-Video,
DVD-Audio and CD-Audio. Combined with a powerful 48-bit HDSP processing
engine and exclusive Sonic Clarity architecture, SonicStudio HD is
unique in its ability to deliver ultra-high-fidelity audio for distribution
in multiple formats.

enhancements and features for editing and audio processing:
Editing Enhancements
- Playhead scrub mode - Adds jog-style scrubbing, essential for editing
classical music and locating clicks during NoNOISE audio cleanup.
- Sync matching - Enables matched portions of audio to be aligned for
A/B comparisons.
- Edit soundfile during record - Allows soundfiles to be edited before
recording is complete, an essential tool for broadcasting.
- Loop and Fill command - creative dance music mastering feature.
- Copy/Paste editing of Desk Events - Processing of one sound can be
matched with others in a single, quick and easy copy and paste function.
- EDL track naming support - Provides powerful track ordering capability
for working with multi-channel audio.
Processing Enhancements
- Double-precision desk filters -Enables single HDSP board configurations
to perform a single channel of Real Time NoNOISE processing with double-precision
desk filters.
- SRC on input, Varispeed on playback - Adds the capability to
burn a reference CD-R from non-44.1kHz soundfiles, or sample-rate convert
audio on the fly as it is captured.
- AutoSonic 24-bit soundfile output - Provides support for audio
generated by AutoSonic in DVD Creator, DVD Fusion and OneClick DVD.
General Enhancements
- Timecode status window - Reports the status of incoming or generated
timecode.
- High-Density Audio support in dual-wire AES mode - Adds High-Density
Audio support for the Sonic Audio I/O.
- 24-bit mono and split-mono interleaved soundfile support - Adds additional
soundfile import capabilities.
- Buffer volume selection for flowthrough - Enables selection of volumes
for fastest throughput with minimal fragmentation.
