Marin County, California (November 2, 2000) - Sonic Solutions announced today that Aplix Corporation, Inc., the leading provider of CD-R software in Japan, has selected Sonic DVDit! LE to provide DVD authoring capabilities with their WinCDR 6.0 Premium Package of CD-R/ CD-RW recording software for Windows 95/98/Me/NT 4.0/2000. These discs can be played back on any of the hundreds-of-millions of CD-ROM equipped PCs.

For additional functionality, WinCDR 6.0 Premium Package users can easily upgrade to DVDit! SE, which includes features for converting AVI and QuickTime files into the MPEG-2 format, generating multiple interconnected menus, creating video chapter points, and more.

"Sonic has revolutionized digital video publishing with DVDit!," said Hiroshi Kamachi, General Manager at Aplix Corporation. "Combining the incredible ease-of-use of DVDit! with WinCDR 6.0 at an attractive price point makes it possible for users to create complete full-screen, full-motion video libraries that will play on CD."

"It's wonderful to be working with Aplix Sales.
